Just thought I would lift myself from my sunbed for long enough to correct "The Thunderer".Under the headline "Mother is first lesbian guilty of bigamy", The Times reported the first case of making a false statement to a registrar, by a woman who was still married when she entered into a civil partnership. The headline is incorrect, of course, as bigamy is entering into a marriage whilst still married to another person, and a civil partnership is not a marriage, much to the chagrin of the gay community.
