Seeking Pastures New

Right, I am now officially seeking new employment. So, if you're looking to employ an experienced family law hack, then I could be your man. I'll consider any sort of position, and not necessarily doing fee-earning work, including non-practising positions. I can send my CV on request, but a look around this blog will say more about me than any CV. Any enquiries should be sent to my personal email address, bolch[at]supanet.com.

  1. wow! I'd assumed you were your own man not a wage-slave. Hope you find something good - no idea what your market is like. I assume family-lore will remain yours?

  2. Yes, I'm a wage-slave I'm afraid. The market isn't too great, with a lot of firms tightening their belts, but I'm open to ideas.

Yep, Family Lore is mine, and will certainly remain so.

  3. Good luck, John.

I haven't noticed family work drying up so much - I'm sure you'll find something/somewhere suitable. The "credit crunch" has got to be affecting some relationships so (being rather brutal here) plenty of need for family lawyers.

Might be more difficult to find something non-fee-earning though - definitely an area where belt-tightening is taking place....

  5. Ditto on the family work not drying up. No sign of a drop in private family at my firm as far as I know.

Good luck, but I don't anticipate you'll need it.

  7. Gosh, John! Good luck finding something new. As Britain's most prominent family lawyer (even more famous than that woman with the wet hair) you're bound to be overwhelmed with offers, though, I reckon.

  9. All the very best John - are you going to be a Self Directed Solicitor or are you looking to become a Solicitor At Another Firm?
