World Social Work Day

Today is World Social Work Day. Marking the occasion, The Guardian has a short but thought-provoking piece by Wally Harbert, in which he argues that social workers in this country are made the scapegoats for wider failures in the child protection system. He concludes that the entire system needs a shake-up, including a review of the responsibilities of all professionals involved. Definitely worth a read.
