It's The Sun Wot Pays Out

The Sun newspaper has today agreed to pay 'undisclosed compensation' and apologised unreservedly to social worker Sylvia Henry, over the publication of false allegations in about 80(!) articles, about her role in the Baby P tragedy. The allegations included that she had been "grossly negligent" in her handling of the case, that she was "thereby to blame for his appalling abuse and death" and that she had shown no remorse. Her solicitor, Daniel Taylor, said the newspaper "unreservedly accepts that there is no justification for any of the allegations".

Unfortunately, nothing about this surprises me.
