What I have been up to this week
Before I head off for a weekend of revelry and hedonism (well, I may have the odd beer), I thought you might like to know what I have been up to on Marilyn Stowe’s Family Law & Divorce Blog this week.
My efforts there include the following:
- The unravelling of the family justice system - How the government’s plans for a post-legal aid family justice system continue to unravel.
- The stigma of relationship breakdown - How those whose relationships have broken down have been made the new pariahs in society.
- The difference between secrecy and privacy - A distinction which seems to be sadly misunderstood by those who refer to 'secret family courts'.
- Important cases: Martin v Martin - A look at the er... important case Martin v Martin (which, incidentally, involved a firm whose office was next door to where I once practised - I thought you might like to know that as well).
Hopefully, one or more of the above may stir your interest.
Now, where's that beer?
