Appeal judges reject divorcee’s negligence claim

Digitised Consent Orders
Using the Digitised Consent Order system becomes compulsory for Solicitors submitting financial consent orders from 24th August 2020 onwards. Full story: Class Legal.
Consultation on improving the procedure for the enforcement of family financial orders
The Family Procedure Rule Committee has announced a stakeholder consultation on making the general enforcement application procedure (for the enforcement of family financial orders) more effective. Full story: Family Law.

Application by local authority for an order under the inherent jurisdiction for a deprivation of liberty authorisation, in relation to a 13 year old child. Full report: Bailii.

Application to purge his contempt and be released from a sentence of nine-months imprisonment imposed on him on 17 December 2019, for breaching orders made in the Family Court Full report: Bailii.
Manjra v Shaikh [2020] EWHC 1805 (Fam) (08 July 2020)

Lancashire County Council v M & N (Injured Child) [2020] EWFC B31 (03 July 2020)
Final hearing of care proceedings concerning two boys aged 5 and 3, in which the only issues remaining for determination were the local authority's allegation that the father inflicted injuries to the younger child at Xmas 2019 and their allegations concerning his activities at this time.
