Something for the Weekend: Yes - Time And A Word

At the risk of turning this into the obituary section of Family Lore (it's obviously something to do with my age), this is my tribute to Peter Banks, guitarist and founder member of Yes, who sadly passed away on the 7th of March:


  1. Make a list of your faverave rock musicians from your teenage years, notice how many of them are now prematurely dead, reflect that a professional life dealing with couples' family problems isn't so bad after all, listen to the aforementioned faves on the internet with a click or two, enjoy the weekend.

    I think we're both of that vintage where many of the bands we grew up with are losing people.

    It seems that few rock musicians make it into genuine old age

    1. Apart from the (remaining members of) The Stones...

    Yes, they are notable exceptions, along with Ozzy and Lemmy. Which is ironic in a way but let's be thankful.

    More unsettling is that Bono and Cliff Richard are still walking around in rude good health.
